About Curupira (folkloric character)
Curupira is a mythical figure from Brazilian folklore. Described as a small being with red hair and backward-facing feet, he is known as the guardian of the forests. His main role is to protect nature, especially the trees and animals, from hunters and loggers who cause environmental harm.
Curupira is famous for playing tricks and misleading intruders, causing them to get lost in the forest. His inverted footprints confuse those who try to follow them, leading them in the wrong direction.
