Synopsis: Maria Izabel returns to her hometown for her grandfather’s funeral. But her grandfather’s death holds a macabre secret: a pact with the devil made in his distant youth. Now that the old man has passed away, the little imp in the bottle, the devil, wants the soul sold at a crossroads and has a sealed contract to take it to his boss. Synopsis: Gonçalo Bonbon, a fisherman down on his luck, drinks a lot. Very much indeed! Oh, and he never remembers what he does when he’s drunk – which is almost always. That’s why he says yes when two strangers ask for his help in finding a valuable fighting cock that was stolen just when, what bad luck!, it was in their custody. The animal’s owner, a man famous for his cruelty, gave them a week to get the rooster back. If they did’t find him they would disappear too, forever. And how will Gonçalo Bonbon help find this animal? So wasn’t him who stole, killed and ate that rooster?
