Synopsis: In times long past, when the world was still learning to be a world, the charms of the most beautiful Kunhã that ever existed reached even the mighty Kurasi, the Sun God, who fell in love with her. The myth of the weeping mountain is told in this story through an unlikely encounter between Mariá, a four-year-old girl, and an old indigenous woman. Lost in the mountains on a dark and perilous night, Mariá is taken in by the old and mysterious indigenous woman, who, under the light of fireflies, tells her the myths of her people. The old and the new, the clash of generations and cultures, is presented to the reader through the child’s naive perspective and the ancient words of the old indigenous woman.
